The Ohio Community Theatre Association (OCTA) is proud to present its annual

NorthEast Regional Theatre Festival Competition, to be held June 19-20 at the Trumbull

New Theatre (TNT). TNT is located at 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles, OH.

This year’s theme is a trip back to the 70’s: “Peace, Love and Theatre!” Tickets for

patrons are $12 for a two-day pass.

The NorthEast region of OCTA has 25 community theatre members and this

year’s Festival will feature six of its theatres excerpting play from this past season. The

theatres presenting excerpts are:

n Trumbull New Theatre (Niles): Twelfth Night
n Chagrin Valley Little Theatre (Chagrin Falls): The Dixie Swim Club
n Western Reserve Playhouse (Bath): Deathtrap
n Aurora Community Theatre (Aurora): The Foreigner
n Hudson Players (Hudson): It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Show
n Broadview Heights Spotlights (Broadview Hts.): Don’t Dress for Dinner

The two theatres judged to be the top performances will advance to the state

OCTA Festival, to be held Labor Day weekend in Perrysburg, OH.

In addition to the day of great theatre, it’s an opportunity to talk and network with

community theatres throughout Northeast Ohio. This is a wonderful chance to see and

learn about the productions your local community theatre has in store for its upcoming

season.
