Summer Institute for Music Teaching and Learning

Three workshops are CLOSED but a few seats remain in the other Graduate Workshops*:


Music Technology: Notation & Sequencing (TI:ME 1A)
Appropriate for anyone uses music notation and sequencing. The course will focus primarily on Sibelius and GarageBand.
Dr. William I. Bauer, Instructor, June 21-25, 9am-4pm; $300 for 2 credits


Intermediate Band Rehearsal Strategies & Conducting Techniques
Appropriate for anyone who works with wind and percussion ensembles. We provide repertoire and a built-in ensemble to allow participants to try their hand at rehearsal and conducting strategies with an emphasis on pedagogy, reflection, and personal feedback.
Prof. Laura Joss, Instructor, July 5-9, 9am-4pm; $300 for 2 credits

Orff-Schulwerk Teacher Education Course Level II
Appropriate for anyone who has completed OASA Level I certification and seeks further instruction in the Orff-Schulwerk approach.
Michelle Fella Przybylowski, Laura Webster, and Alan Purdum, Instructors
June 28-July 9, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm; $580 for 4 credit course
