Make plans now to see the inaugural production of the Akron Summer
Theatre Project at Firestone High School in Akron.

THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE will be presented at 7:30
on Thursday, July 8, Friday, July 9, and Saturday, July 10, 2010. A
single matinee performance will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July
10, 2010.

This production is an entertainment bargain compared to other theatres
in the area. All seats are general admission and cost just $10.00.
Seating is limited.

A special preview performance will be presented at 7:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 7. Admission for the preview performance is a mere
$5.00.  Tickets for all performances are available by mail and at the
door on the night of performance. Ticket order forms can be downloaded

The special production is an extension of the school’s theatre
education program and is presented under the name of the Akron Summer
Theatre Project. All performances will be held the school's
air-conditioned multi-purpose space. A special thrust theatre has been
created for this production and will seat app. 100 patrons. Buy your
tickets now since space is limited.

This Akron Summer Theatre Project production is under the direction of
Firestone High School theatre director Mark A. Zimmerman. Guest artist
and Kenmore High school vocal music director Barbara Bellamy serves as
production’s music director. Guest artist and recent Ashland
University graduate Rachel Galambos provides choreography. Guest
artist Alan Higbee provides the accompaniment. FHS alumni Scot Sexton
will play the drums as part of the show’s pit orchestra.
