Open Lens Project
2010 marks the first year of this collaborative project
between Cleveland Cinemas and CINEMA Cleveland. As a recurring film
showcasing series, artists will be given assignments in advance to
produce short films ranging from 5-7 minutes in length.
It can be any genre you like and the subject matter is up to
you but you must tie your film into the specified themes. The theme for
August is "Heat." Interpret it any way you want and have fun with it,
but you will be judged not just on your technical merits, but also your
ability to present the theme in an interesting and creative way.
The best entries will be screened at The Capitol Theatre in
Cleveland's Gordon Square District and the best of the best will be
showcased at various other venues throughout Cleveland.
Directors with films in the event will receive 3 free tickets
to the screening.
