Euclid Beach Park Sand Castle Festival & Beach Cleanup Saturday, July 17, 11-6pm
On Saturday July 17th Arts Collinwood has partnered with the Euclid Beach Adopt-A-Beach Team to bring you a day of free summer festivities, family fun and environmental awareness at Euclid Beach Park!

The day kicks off with a beach clean up at 11am.  Join members of the Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach team as we clean and screen Euclid Beach!  Then, grab your shovels and start building your best sand creations for a sand castle contest you do not want to miss! Get ready for lots of great prizes! After all that hard work, enjoy a cookout and entertainment by local artists along with Cleveland’s very own Show Wagon! And don’ forget to make and toot your own horn in an instrument making workshop with Cleveland's own Dr. Craig Woodson.  Walk the promenade and learn about lakefront preservation.  Visit information tables from the Alliance for the Great Lakes, The City of South Euclid, Northeast Shores Development Corporation, The Friends of Euclid Creek and more! Finally, end the day with some good old fashioned storytelling that the whole family will enjoy!

Volunteers interested in participating in the beach cleanup should be advised to wear closed toed shoes, dress appropriately for the weather and apply both sun screen and bug repellent. Disposable gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, rakes and refreshments will be provided to cleanup participants at registration.
