AUDITION NOTICE
It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
by Joe Landry
Original Music and Musical Arrangements by Kevin Connors
Directed by Douglas A. Farren
THE STORY:
Inspired by the classic American film, “It's A Wonderful Life”, the play is
performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Five
actors perform the dozens of characters in the radio play as well as produce the
sound effects.
CHARACTERS:
5 actors (3 men and 2 women) and one on-stage sound effects person. One man and
one woman will play George Bailey and his wife Mary as adults and as children.
The other 3 will play all the other parts. The director is looking for actors
and actresses with the ability to vocalize many different characters.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Audition Dates: Monday, August 16 and Tuesday, August 17 at 7:30pm sharp.
Auditions will be held at Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road, Westlake. Please
note: Clague Road is currently under construction and only the south bound lane
is open - enter from Detroit Road. Please check our website at
www.clagueplayhouse.org for detour information.
Please bring an audition photo and résumé.
Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script.
Production Dates: November 12 - December 5, 2010 on Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays at 8:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. (No performances on Sun., Nov. 14 and
Thanksgiving, Nov. 25)
A perusal script is available at the Clague Playhouse Box Office for a $10
deposit through August 14, 2010. Box Office hours are Wednesday - Saturday from
1-6pm.
