Open Auditions for SWEENEY TODD – 

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
 
Epic and amazing piece of musical theatre? Check. 
Gorgeous, regal, and historical theatre to perform in? Check. 
Passionate and energetic directors? Check. 
Talented, fun and dedicated cast? HELP!!! 
 
Auditions for the eerie yet fantastic Sondheim masterpiece, Sweeney Todd, will 
be held in the McManaway Studio at the North Canton Playhouse next week on 
Tuesday August 3rd. Performances to be held at the  majestic 1500 seat Canton 
Palace Theatre on October 29, 30 and 31. Halloween Of Course! 
 
Audition slots are one hour slots, available from 6PM – 9PM Tuesday and 
Wednesday August 3rd and 4th. ALL roles are available. Principle roles plus 15 
ensemble members will be cast. Must be age 14 and up to audition unless 
specifically auditioning for Tobias, mature 12+ may audition for this role with 
permission but will not be cast in ensemble.

Auditioners must prepare excerpt from a Sondheim piece, not from Sweeney Todd.
