6 PM - Expansive Grounds (Documentary) Germany Preview
 Personal exploration of the filmmaker’s identity as German caused by the
Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the center of Berlin is at the
heart of this film. 
Her observations are recorded during the years of
2003-2007, from the beginning of construction until two years after the
memorial opened to the public. 
Through conversations with visitors, asking
about their feelings and emotional responses to the memorial, she was led to
reflect
on her family’s role during the Nazi era and about the significance
of collective guilt. 
At its core, this is a film about the one woman’s
innermost feelings: feelings of guilt, her convictions in the 1960s, and her
attitudes today are explored in this German story of every day life

E90-1248 is working as a sorter of building material in one of two towers
which are facing each other in an endless expanse of water. His life is
dedicated to the growth of the tower, because the water level is rising. 
When an accident happens, he finds himself in the bottom story of the
building, a place where all those people are shunted off to, whom the upper
stories of the tower can no longer accommodate. E90-1248 becomes aware of
the fact that the tower is well on its way to destroy itself and that he is
the only person able to save the human race from perishing.

Boardinghouse innkeeper Mary Surratt was tried, convicted and executed for
conspiring to assassinate President Lincoln. Within two months of being
charged with the crime she would be dead; swinging from the gallows in
Washington D.C.

9:15 PM - Academy Award nominated - Binta and The Great Idea (Short) 
Javier Fesser's live action short Binta and the Great Idea (AKA Binta y la
Gran Idea) - a Spanish-Senegalese co-production - concerns Binta, a
seven-year-old girl who lives with her fisherman father in a small village
on the banks of Senegal's Casamance River. Binta is fortunate and blessed
enough to be able to attend school and receive an education, but her cousin,
Soda, lacks the same privilege. Binta's humanist father suddenly has an idea
that could change the world and ease the suffering of mankind, and he
determines to implement it.
9:45 PM - Adeem (Short Drama) Lebanon Preview
In one of the tight streets of a quiet village, stood a two-story house with
a courtyard...  People started gathering around the house, for today is the
wedding of one of its residents… The whole street was decorated and was fit
for a wedding. The women were preparing to receive and welcome the groom,
while the men waited in salon inside the house.  Some were villagers and
others were military soldiers.  The courtyard began to crowd and one of the
villagers suddenly yells at the top of his voice: “They have arrived…they
have arrived...!”  Everybody runs to welcome the groom; young girls start
throwing petals and rice which was a tradition in the village. Men start
cheering...and hands start stretching outwards to caress  the coffin that
just arrived, which had a large photo of the hero who had died for his
country – “The Shaheed” … he was the awaited groom.  In the midst of tears
and laughter we hear a combination of sounds; heart beats, a clock ticking
and people’s faraway voices…  The clock on the wall suddenly stops ticking
and the clock hands start moving in the opposite direction to take us back
in time, which relates to the fact that there is an ending for everything
and everyone.

The classic story of "boy meets girl" goes horribly wrong when, Ryan, a
charming young bank teller falls hard the moment he lays eyes on the
seductive, yet older, Angelica. Consumed by his curiosity, Ryan begins
stalking Angelica, desperate to know more about her. He stumbles upon the
perfect opportunity to spy on the woman of his dreams when he is hired by
Dolores as a part-time maintenance man and moves into an apartment across
the street from Angelica.
As the line separating love and lust becomes harder to define, his growing
fascination sends him deeper into a bizarre world of obsession and
infatuation, but things are not always what they seem in this twisty tale of
psychological suspense.

Created as part of the War on Poverty, the Yale Summer High School brought
underprivileged  students from across the country to the Yale Divinity
School during the 1960s.  In 1968—a time of great national upheaval—a small 
group of educators redefined the enterprise. Drawing on the “Great Books” of
Western literature, they tackled  sensitive issues of race, tolerance, and
personal identity, as they searched together for that which eluded the
nation—a sense of community and the values which ground people and bind them
together. Walk Right In captures that summer through first hand accounts,
following students from their moment of selection to the culmination of the
program, to where they are today—a compelling reminder of the importance of
inclusive and effective education and its impact across the generations.

Tales From the Crypt/Darkside, Unit 30 is a campy mystery with a surprising
conclusion.

Arthur Poe (Cris D’Annunzio) is a sadistic killer who likes to torture his
victims. In 1993, he was captured and subsequently convicted by the state of
Virginia for several gruesome murders. Poe received a sentence of death.
Years later and days before his execution, the newly elected governor
granted Poe clemency based on a testimony given by a forensic psychologist
during Poe’s murder trial. The testimony convinced the governor that Poe
deserved psychiatric care rather than death. Many were outraged by the
governor’s act of leniency. A reporter (Maury Morgan) confronts Poe in an
interview seeking to shed light on the emotionally charged topic. What she
learns can never be forgotten or forgiven.

The Nation of Australia is under War in 2027 due to an Asian influx in
Population. Two brothers struggle to deal with the truth of being under
attack. It tests them physically and both emotionally, reflected by the
pains of War.

An exiled cop uncovers a governmental conspiracy to tackle the issue of
population control in a radically inhumane way.

“LIVING ON YOUR FEET” explores the personality of Cipriano Mera, and the
ideals and feats of an era that turned his life into one great adventure,
and made him the privileged protagonist of an intense journey through
history in pursuit of utopia. It is the story of a free man who refused to
die on his feet or live on his knees.

"Don't Touch It" is a story about little Anthony, a young boy who can't tell
the good guys from the bad. When Anthony is led to believe that playing with
yourself makes you go blind, he searches for answers but can't find the
right one. In the end, it seems as though Anthony must find his own way,
when his father steps in and gives him the guidance he needs.
3:30 PM - Under The Hood (Short Drama) Preview
An attractive woman attempts to get her car fixed at a back-street repair
shop, while evading the unwelcome harassment of the sleazy manager, and
trying to provoke the laid-back mechanic into action - leading to some
unexpected consequences when their conflicting desires are frustrated.
3:45 PM - Jamal and Rome (TV Pilot) Preview
Jamal and Rome is a web series, a dramatic comedy about two young men who
find meaning in life through the help of each other. One of the characters
is Rome, a drug dealer whose dad passes away in Iraq and his mother, to
support herself, marries a wealthy doctor. Rome never gets along with his
step-father (as he feels this will betray his real father) and moves out to
live on his own. The other character is Jamal, whose mother left when he was
little. He feels disconnected with his father who has raised him all his
life. Since Jamal has no mother, his personality is that he is very
dependent on women to fill that empty gap in his life, however, love and
luck are not in his fate.

Teresa Velazquez is a young immigrant that turns to prostitution in order to
survive a tough economical crisis. The twist: she picks up her clients from
the crowded halls of her very own high school. Hiding the truth from
everyone, Teresa builds up a clientele and things begin to look up. At the
height of her entrepreneurial business she will pick up one last client that
will blow her house of cards to the ground and will turn her world upside
down.

“Jeff is a slacker who inherits a house from one of his aunts. When he
arrives at the house, he tries switching on a light, but there is no
electricity in the house. So, he decides to look for some candles. He starts
digging through a closet and finds some candles. A strange looking box
catches his attention. There are pictures on the box that look like
instructions. Upon further examination, Jeff accidentally drops his cell
phone into the box. It automatically closes, starts to glow and then stops.
Jeff opens the box and inside are two identical cell phones. Amazed, he
begins duplicating different things; subsequently duplicating a $20 bill. It
works, so he starts a mass reproduction process of $20 bills. The doorbell
rings and a lady asks for some charity money, but Jeff just slams the door
in her face! Greedily, he continues making money throughout the whole night
under candle light. In the morning, he decides to buy himself a new car. He
runs out of the house with the money in a duffel bag. While Jeff is at a car
dealership looking at cars, at home, the box overheats and catches fire
because he has overused it. As Jeff wants to pay for the car and opens the
duffel bag, all of the money vanishes into a cloud of smoke. He does not
understand what happened. Without a car, he returns to the house, which he
discovers to be completely burned down.”

reminder of what he has been trying to run away from all along.  When he
encounters a strange figure he learns the only one who stands in his way is
himself, and can no longer run away with Blackie.

weekly basis while mastering the technology. During the course of Kevin’s
exploration, we meet his quirky art school friends, and his loving, but
slightly unusual family. The episode is shown from multiple perspectives,
including three girls who are viewing the vlog, and a retired couple who are
learning about the technology for the first time.

between. In the times when you feel like you might be at your worst, it's
your friends and family that keep you going, and sometimes you just have to
laugh at yourself. That's what this series is all about.
