Imagination.
Strength.
Uniquely American.

Combine these together for a night of company premieres
from Verb Ballets, Cleveland's National Repertory Dance Company.
Returning to Cain Park for a summer evening under the stars, Verb
Ballets' new company works celebrate the contributions of two
Jewish-American choreographers: Sophie Maslow's "Dust Bowl Ballads,"
set to music by Woody Guthrie, and "The Village I Knew," a traditional
dance taken from the stories of Sholem Aleichem; and the athletic “To
Have and To Hold” from Shapiro & Smith Dance. Other new works on
the program include Pamela Pribisco’s classic pas de deux “Tarantella,”
and a World Premiere by Philadanco's Tommie Waheed-Evans.

And,
back by popular demand, the company offers a revival of Ohio Ballet
founder Heinz Poll’s “Wings and Aires,” set to the colorful music of
Bach.
