STAGECRAFTERS GOES RETRO!!!!

Do you miss parachute pants, power ballads and leg warmers?  Still rock out to Joan Jett and Guns & Roses?  Then you are going to love The Wedding Singer at Stagecrafters!   Performances will be August 13 and 14 at 7:00pm and August 15 at 2:00pm at the Orange High School auditorium, 32000 Chagrin Blvd, Pepper Pike, OH.  Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

Called "One big party! A good natured, high-energy musical" by Newsday, The Wedding Singer is a light romantic comedy set in a world of 80s-filled nostalgia. Based on the classic film starring Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore, it tells the story of rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart, New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own.  Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of the decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. With songs like Somebody Kill Me, Come Out of the Dumpster, and It's Your Wedding Day this production is sure to be a totally tubular good time! 

The artistic team for this Summerstock production consists of Director Jamie Koeth, Musical Director Richard Hinkelman and Choreographer Abby Lausin and the cast consists of some of the most talented young actors in the area.  The Wedding Singer is produced in cooperation with Music Theatre International.  This production is rated PG-13.
