Brunswick Alumni Community Theatre will be holding auditions for their fall 
Youth Theatre presention of "Beowulf: User Friendly" on Sunday, August 15th at 
2pm and on Monday, August 16th at 7pm at the Brunswick Recreation Center, 3637 
Center Rd. in Brunswick.   Director Stayce Nabors is looking for young people 5 
years old and up as well as several adults, both male and female. Auditioners 
will be asked to read from the script.   As the intent of our youth theatre 
productions are instructional, no experience is necessary. 

 
Beowulf: User Friendly is an entertaining play that sheds comedic light on the 
dark story from the Middle Ages! After an entire class fails the exam on 
Beowulf, their stern teacher issues a challenge tell her the famous story.  
Include the characters, action, themes and history, and you might just pass. The 
students concoct a retelling of the tale in a way that is relevant, accurate and 
absurdly hilarious, producing a special newscast la CNN, complete with 
reporters, video images and interviews.
 
The show will be presented Novermber 11, 12, 13, 20, 21 and 22, 2010 at the 
Skyview Lodge, 336 Pearl Rd. in Brunswick.  Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and 
Thursdays.
