Charm, Wit and Magic Collide with Magician James Galea at LCCC's Stocker Arts Center

Forget everything you think you know about magic and settle in for a wild ride with Australia's number one magician, James Galea, at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, September 12 at Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts Center.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and can be ordered online at www.lorainccc.edu/stocker, or by calling the Stocker Arts Center box office at 800-995-5222 (ext. 4040) from 12-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available at the box office, located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts Center. Take-a-Chance tickets are also available at the box office 1 ½ hours prior to the event. Take-a-Chance tickets are half-off the adult ticket price and are available until the show sells out.

Trading the traditional tuxedo and top hat for a pair of jeans and sneakers, Galea's show "I Hate Rabbits" mixes magic with stand-up comedy. With quick hands and even quicker wit, Galea's card tricks leave audiences equal parts amazed and stumped.

At the age of 14, Galea learned magic from someone he thought was a magician. He later found out his mentor was a professional card shark and con man. However, the training proved impeccable and he was named "Australia's Best Close-Up Magician" at the age of 19.

Since then he's made a name for himself by wowing everyone who sees him perform, including Ellen DeGeneres and her studio audiences during multiple appearances on her show. With his charming good looks and wicked sense of humor, it's no wonder he's working with producers to star in his own reality series. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to see Galea live at the Stocker Art Center.
