[NEohioPAL] Salem Youth Chorus Auditions

The Salem Youth Chorus is currently accepting auditions for the 2010-2011 
season. Teens aged 14-19 are eligible to audition. Weekly rehearsals will be 
held alternately in Boardman and Salem. The Salem Youth Chorus was founded in 
2007 by Jon Simsic, ArtisticDirectorof Youth Musicand Theater for the Salem 
Community Theatre, in order to provide teens with the opportunity to sing great 
choral musicas crafted by the compositional masters. In addition to their local 
concerts and as part of their 2008 summer tour, the Salem Youth Chorus sang a 
concert at BrutonParishChurchin Colonial Williamsburg, VA and then sang Choral 
Evensong at The Washington National Cathedralin DC. In July of 2009, they 
traveled to NYC and sang at The Cathedralof St. John the Divine. The ensemble 
just returned from a tour of the UK,singing in Cathedralsin Ireland, Walesand 
England. The Salem Youth Chorus is an accelerated, “honors” level ensemble. All 
teens that are committed and love to sing are encouraged to audition. The Salem 
Youth Chorus is the perfect ensemble for those teens considering a career in
