New York Casting Director, Barry Shapiro
Saturday, September 25 OR Sunday, September 26th in Cleveland, Ohio
ALL DAY COMMERCIAL IMPROV INTENSIVE
10 am - 4pm 

Mr. Shapiro will be in Cleveland working with actors interested in pursuing placement and representation in the New York market and beyond. 

Barry Shapiro has been a casting director with Herman & Lipson Casting for nearly 30 years, casting over 7,500 commercials for top clients such as L’Oreal, American Express, Verizon, Nintendo, Advil, and many more. He also casts for film, TV, and theater, and regularly teaches commercial technique classes and workshops in New York City and across the country. In the 2009 Back Stage Readers Choice poll, Shapiro was named “Favorite Commercial Workshop” and tied with Beth Melsky for “Favorite Commercial Casting Director.”

This workshop is interactive - non-lecture format. Lots of FUN and leaves people laughing the whole day! Actors working on auditions all day long!

Those attending will be a mixed bag. There will be people who have been working for years and years and have booked a lot of commercials, and want to expand a little in the improv area. And then there's other people for whom this is basically the first commercial class they've decided to take. Everybody can learn and be discovered.
