JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

WHEN: Sunday, September 19th and Tuesday, September 21st

CHILDREN'S CHORUS: This production of "Joseph" will feature a children's chorus of between 16 and 20 young actor/singer/dancers. Minimum age is 8 years old and maximum age is 14---HOWEVER, please also be advised that the maximum height for actors in the Children's Chorus will be 5 foot, 2 inches. Young actors fitting these requirements should plan on showing up 20 minutes prior to auditions either day to fill out paperwork. No preparation is required. A 15 second vocal line will be taught and there will be a movement session as well. These young actors will only be required to stay for one hour at the most. Callbacks and/or casting will be determined from these initial auditions. There WILL be ample opportunity is this production for participation. The Children's Chorus will be well used, and therefore, we are looking for strong performers. This production will employ the "MegaMix" Finale'.
 
 
ADULTS: All Roles are open except for Joseph (Connor O'Brien) and Pharoah (Josh R. Noble). We are still looking for The Narrator (Female--age 25 to 45), ALL of Joseph's brothers (11 in all---age ranges from 14 to 40), Jacob (Joseph's Father---age 50 to 65), Potiphar (Age 35 to 50), Mrs. Potiphar (Age 25 to 35), The Baker and Butler (may double as Brothers), and a female ensemble used as wives, etc (10 to 15: ages 16 to 40) AEA Actors will only be seen for the role of the Narrator. All performers 18 and older are paid a small stipend for their participation.
 
TO PREPARE: No preparation needed for Children's Chorus. Adult auditioners should prepare a single song ideally from the Broadway repertoire not to exceed 90 seconds. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided for you. It is preferred that you do not sing a capella. CALLBACKS will be determined from the initial auditions. CALLBACKS will occur the weekend of Sept. 25th, time and day TBD.
 
REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES: Rehearsals will begin no earlier than Oct. 23rd. Joseph, The Narrator and The Brothers can expect a fuller schedule. All others will depend upon the size of role. Commitment for all cast members can be as little as three days a week early on (more later) and as many as six rehearsals a week.  "JOSEPH" opens on Dec. 3rd and closes with a New Year's Eve performance AND a final show on Sunday, Jan. 2nd. Normal perf. schedule includes Fri/Sat evenings at 7:30PM and Sundays at 2:30PM. To accomodate the odd way the holidays fall this year there will also be a few doubles on weekend dates as well as two Thursdays and a Wednesday performance.
