*Cassidy Announces Auditions for MAME*

The Cassidy Theatre will be having another audition day for its upcoming
production of *MAME*.

Directed and choreographed by Pierre-Jacques Brault, rehearsals will begin
October 24th, and performances will be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from
December 3rd through the 19th.



AUDITION DATE (Appointments are required):

Sunday, September 19th, 2010 6:00-10:00pm



Please call 440.842.4600 to set up audition time slot. If you cannot make
the audition dates or times and would still like to be seen for the
production, the director is willing to meet at another time.



AUDITION PREPARATION:

Please prepare two short, contrasting musical theatre selections, bring
sheet music in the correct key, 32 bars is sufficient; an accompanist will
be provided. Headshots and resumes will be accepted at the audition.



CASTING REQUIREMENTS:

Non - Equity. There are no Equity Contracts available. Cassidy is committed
to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of
talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability are essential to
a role. Ages listed in breakdowns are "character ages" not actor ages.



Seeking to Cast only these roles:

Auntie Mame (Mezzo): glamorous, madcap and extremely liberal

Vera Charles (Alto): Mame's "bosom buddy"

Beauregard Burnside (Baritone): a wealthy Southern gentleman

Ito (Baritone): Mame's Asian Houseboy

Mr. & Mrs. Upson
