[NEohioPAL] "Present Laughter" Auditions at Coach House

Auditions for Noel Coward's farce Present Laughter will be held at Coach
House Theatre on Sunday, September 19 at 6pm, and Monday, September 20 at
7pm.

 

A successful and self-obsessed matinee idol, Garry Essendine, prepares a
world tour of his latest hit play while dealing with women who want to
seduce him, placating both his long-suffering secretary and his estranged
wife, coping with a crazed young playwright, and attempting to overcome a
mid-life crisis.  To be directed by Nancy Cates, Artistic Director.

 

Who:                     5 women, all ages 20's through 70's

                                5 men, 30's through 60's

 

What:                    Please pick and prepare a short scene to read from
the script, or prepare a comic monologue (style piece preferred.)

 

Where:                 Coach House Theatre

732 W. Exchange St., Akron, OH 44303 (at the intersection of W. Exchange St.
and N. Portage Path, sharing a parking lot with the Akron Woman's City Club)

 

When:                  Performances begin Nov. 26, and the run continues
through Dec. 19, Thursdays through Sundays.

                                Rehearsals begin Oct. 30ish
