4545 College Rd. (off of Green Rd.)
South Euclid,  OH  44121-4293
(Center basement of the Administration Building.)

Enter off Green Road & go straight back to the parking lot of the Admin
Building which looks like a big Gothic Cathedral.

*ROLES:*
*John Newton Templeton :*  20 year old ex-slave.  First African American
Graduate of Ohio University in 1828.

*Robert Wilson:* Middle aged white University President.

*Jane Wilson:*  Robert's somewhat younger wife.

Ensemble will continue to celebrate the African American experience with a
production of Charles Smith’s *Free Man of Color*, the true story of John
Newton Templeton who graduated from Ohio University 35 years before
Emancipation.  In this provocative play a man must choose between making a
life in America or founding a new *home* for his people in Africa.

*Auditions are open to both Equity and Non-Equity actors.*

*Requirements:*

Monologue (no longer than 3 minutes)

There will be cold reading from the script.
