Chagrin Documentary Film Festival
OCTOBER 12- 16
The Inspiration
Fevered Dreams Productions was founded by Chagrin Falls Alumnus and
filmmaker David Ponce as his film production company. David was inspired to tell
the story of Sparrow Village, an aids orphanage in Johannesburg, South
Africa in a documentary entitled "The Lost Sparrows of Roodepoort". Even as
he faced his own battle with leukemia, David wrote; "Nothing is as
important to me as producing work that is true to Sparrow and showing those who
have not visited, just what the human spirit is capable of when faced with
something immensely dark and frightening." David succumbed in 2006 before his
story could be completed, but with the help of his friend Brock Carter and
Professor Michael Kowalski, " The Lost Sparrows of Roodepoort" was
completed and has become an award winning documentary. Fevered Dreams
Productionshas become a nonprofit organization dedicated to allowing talented
filmmakers to tell their unique stories.
This festival is dedicated to David Ponce and to all of the talented
filmmakers who will share their stories with us at this festival.*

will be shown on Thursday evening at the Chagrin Falls Intermediate School.
The Chagrin Documentary Film Festival is Bringing the World to the Chagrin

* Festival Red Carpet Awards Ceremony at the Chagrin Falls
Intermediate School Auditorium and Gala Celebration Party at Kraftmaid Experience.
Saturday, October 16, 6:30 pm with live entertainment, wine, beer and
international cuisine by the award-winning restaurants of the Chagrin Valley.

Friday, October 15th:
6:00 pm - CF Intermediate School Auditorium: Ghost Player - documentary
about the movie "Field of Dreams"
7:00 pm - Chagrin Falls Township Hall: One Mission - Chagrin Falls
8:00 pm - South Franklin Circle: Reason Saves Cleveland, Drew Carey's
documentary about his home town
Saturday, October 16th:
1:15 pm - CF Intermediate School Auditorium: Chagrin Falls Football: The
Road to State Finals (Students are 1/2 price!)
