Brecksville Theater On The Square will be presenting the classic youth musical The Little Mermaid October 1st-10th.
Based on the timeless Hans Christian Andersen tale, The Little Mermaid tells the story of Anemone, an adventurous mermaid, who leaves her undersea realm for a sixteenth birthday excursion to the surface. Along the way she encounters a colorful variety of sea characters, including the jealous Sea-Witch who threatens her. Overcoming adversity, Anemone meets a delightful prince whom she happily weds in the end.
Directed by Kimberly Bush, music directed by Jordan Cooper and choreographed by Diana Strongosky, the dynamic cast features 33 of the area's finest young actors.
Performances are at the Brecksville Old Town Hall, Friday through Sunday, October 1st-3rd, and Thursday through Sunday, October 7th-10th. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30, while Sunday matinees begin at 2:00. The Old Town Hall is located on Brecksville Public Square, at the corner of State Routes 21 and 82, and is handicapped accessible.
Tickets are $12 and $10 for seniors and students through high school. Group rates are also available.
