Forever Plaid Blends Harmony and Humor at LCCC's Stocker Arts Center



Relive the best sounds of the 1950s and 1960s with the funny musical
"Forever Plaid" at 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 22 at Stocker Arts Center.


 

Set in 1964, the musical follows four male singers who have landed their
first gig at an airport bar.  On the way to pick up their tuxes, they
are slammed broadside by a busload of Catholic teenagers.  The boys are
given a second chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the concert
that never was. Singing in delicious '50s four-part harmony, they will
serenade the audience with "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Sixteen
Tons," "Chain Gang," "Heart and Soul," "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing"
and many other songs that will bring back great memories of the era.

 

The show is part of the Performing Artist Series. Tickets are $34 for
orchestra; $27 for mezzanine; and $10 for LCCC students and youth 18 and
