[NEohioPAL] The New Play Festival Opens Tonight! 6 Premieres of works by Cleveland Playwrights

The B-W Theatre and Dance Department begins its season with the Second
Annual New Play Festival, an evening of new works, by local playwrights,
performed by B-W students, and directed by Cleveland area professionals.
Performances will be October 6-9 & 13-16 at 7:30 p.m. October 10 & 17 at
2:00 p.m. in the William Allman Theatre at the Kliest Center for Arts and
Drama, 95 East Bagley Road, Berea, Ohio. Admission is free but tickets
should be reserved. Please call the box office for ticket information at
440-826-2240.

The playwrights featured are listed below:

Matt Greenfield, playwright of Book XII ½ and 99 other scripts, is a
History/Creative writing teacher by day and impresario/dynamo of the
Cleveland-Heights-based bi-monthly lab theatre The Oddy Festival by night:

Greg Vovos teaches playwriting at Baldwin-Wallace and is the author of
PASSWORD MISLOVED

Gary Webster is author of Sally Said and is senior playwright-in-residence
of the Wake Up and Live Actors Studio.

Peter J. Roth is the author of Quick and In My Arms and is a playwriting
student at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and a native of Cleveland
(almost to the point of being tribal).

Dylan Winter Dwyer is the author of Duck Treatment and a senior at
Baldwin-Wallace College majoring in Theatre and Religion.

Nathaniel Scott Stevens is a junior theatre major, the playwright/assistant
director for Make it Beautiful and assistant director for Book XII ½

The guest directors are listed below:

Daniel Hahn director of Quick and in my Arms is and adjunct professor of
Creative Dramatics and Theatre Management at B-W, and Director of Education
for Great Lakes Theater Festival in Cleveland.

Adam Heffernan director of Book XII ½ and Make It Beautiful is an Assistant
Professor of Theatre at B-W.

Juliette Regnier is a guest director for the festival directing PASSWORD
MISLOVED, Duck Treatment and Sally Said.
