Festival continues Oct. 15 at
Lakeland Community College

New French films on campus
 
The 2010 TournéesFrench Film Series at Lakeland Community College continues on 
October 15 with "Intimate Enemies." 

 
The screenings are free and open to the public and run through October 29 on 
Fridays at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, 
Kirtland, 44094, in H building, room 101 (auditorium). 
Directions from Cleveland: Take I-90 East to the Route 306 Exit, turn right. Get 
in left lane and go left at the next light. Drive toward the clocktower, then 
turn left. Parking is in the H building lot on the right. For more information,

Coco Before Chanel
October 1
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The story of Coco Chanel’s rise from obscure beginnings to the heights of the 
fashion world. This film highlights how Coco’s hat making abilities sparked one 
of the largest fashion brands in the world. A French film directed by Anne 
Fontaine that has won multiple awards including three European Film Awards, and 
four BAFTA Awards. Run Time: 110 minutes.
 
Summer Hours
October 8
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Two brothers and a sister witness the disappearance of their childhood memories 
when they must relinquish the family belongings to ensure their deceased 
mother’s succession. This French drama directed by, Olivier Assayas, had its 
premiere in the U.S. at the New York Film Festival in 2008. Run time: 103 
minutes.
 
Intimate Enemies
October 15
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
A drama following a French platoon during Algeria’s war for independence. This 
film is set in 1959 and focuses on Lieutenant Terrien reactions to brutal 
combat, massacre, and execution throughout the war. Directed by Florent Emilio 
Siri (Hostage , Splinter Cell) . Run Time: 111 minutes.
 
The Paris Opera Ballet
October 22
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This documentary follows the production of seven ballets by the Paris Opera 
Ballet. As the official ballet company of the Paris Opera, its origins can be 
traced back to 1661. The evening film screening will be introduced by Barbara 
Veriezza from KSU Dance Department.
 
The Girl on the Train
October 29
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
A drama centered on a young woman who claims she was the target of anti-Semitic 
attack and the subsequent media sensation it creates. A lie told by Jeanne 
(Dequenne), where she claims she was attacked on a train by six young men, grows 
into France's biggest news story of the day. This French film is directed by 
Andre Techine. Run time: 105 minutes
