The following positions are currently open at Dobama Theatre and need to be
filled immediately.  Interested candidates should send a resume and a letter

Box Office Manager
Paid Part-time Position
 
Summary
Dobama Theatre has an immediate opening for an experienced Box Office
Manager.  This individual would be responsible for the overall management of
the box office, including ticket sales (on the phone and in person),
staffing during all productions and on-site box office hours, coordinating
ticket promotions, reconciling daily ticket sales and receipts.  The Box
Office Manager reports to the Managing Director. 

Responsibilities
.     Sell tickets and season subscriptions via phone and in person for
Dobama productions and events
.     Staff the box office during productions and established box office
hours
.     Follow established procedures for reconciling ticket sales
.     Communicate production and theatre information to patrons
.     Participate in marketing initiatives and promotions
.     Collect audience data from ticket sales for marketing purposes
.     Generate box office reports
.     Perform reception duties as needed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
.     Excellent communication skills
.     Excellent customer care skills, must be friendly and personable
.     Honest and reliable
.     Computer literate
.     Able to work quickly and accurately
.     Cash handling and reconciling experience 
.     Ability to remain calm while working under pressure
.     Available to work evenings and weekends 
.     A genuine interest in the arts
.     Minimum one year of work related experience in box office/arts
administration.

 
Development Associate
Paid Part-time Position
 
Summary
Dobama Theatre has an immediate opening for an experienced Development
Associate.  This individual will assist in all aspects of Annual Fund
development.  The Development Associate reports to the Managing Director. 

Responsibilities
.     Assist in development of the annual Development Plan
.     Manage development database
.     Generate appeal letters and coordinate mailings
.     Implement donor relations strategies
.     Coordinate thank you letters and notes
.     Coordinate/attend fundraising events
.     Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
.     Excellent oral and written skills
.     Excellent customer care skills
.     Computer literate (database and mail merge)
.     Able to work quickly and accurately
.     Ability to remain calm while working under pressure
.     Available to work evenings and weekends 
.     A genuine interest in the arts
.     Bachelor's degree and minimum one year of work related experience in
fundraising/arts administration.
