  KENT STATE UNIVERSITY MUSEUM'S "MOVIE DATE WITH KATE" 
TEAMS WITH CIA CINEMATHEQUE FOR "HOLIDAY" (1938) 
SAT, OCT 23 at 5:15 PM & SUN, OCT 24 AT 4 PM  
 
 
WHAT:  "MOVIE DATE WITH KATE: Holiday at the CIA Cinematheque."  Movie Date
With Kate (MDWK) is KSUM's regional film series which shows Katharine
Hepburn films in classic movie venues or in association with classic film
groups in Northeast Ohio.   Holiday will be shown in a new 35 mm print.  
 
WHERE:  Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA), 11141 East Boulevard in University
Circle, Cleveland.
 
WHEN: Sat, Oct. 23 at 5:15 pm; Sun, Oct. 24 at 4 pm.  A KSUM introduction to
Holiday will be presented Sun, Oct 24 on "Cukor, Cary and Kate."
 
DETAILS: Holiday (1938, dir George Cukor) is the third film in the Movie
Date With Kate series, previous films having been Summertime (at the Akron
Civic) and Adam's Rib (at the Cleveland Palace).  MDWK supports the museum's
original exhibition "Katharine Hepburn: Dressed for Stage and Screen" which
opened Oct 2, 2010 and runs until Sept 4, 2011.  This exhibit is drawn from
Miss Hepburn's personal collection of performance clothes given to the
museum by her estate in 2008 and presents stage, movie and TV costumes and
publicity clothing worn by the actress.  Movie frames, stage stills,
publicity shots, and other ephemera are displayed with the costumes. 
   
COST: $9 general admission. $6 for CIA members, for Kent State University
students, staff, faculty and alumni with identification, and for members of
KSUM's "Friends of Fashion."  For more information, call the museum at
