The time: the present. The place: a faded penthouse in a violent,
militaristic Los Angeles. A rich and beautiful young woman has invited
two carefully selected strangers, one for her lovely eyes, the other for
her lovely hands, to a very special dinner commemorating the death of her
parents. She has offered the two strangers $20,000 each to attend (and
complete) the bizarre annual feast. The result is an engrossing journey
into the traumatized inner realms of the three very different, solitary
women that is alternately surreal, humorous, startling and magical.

BRAINPEOPLE, by Jose Rivera, runs Thu-Sat at 8:00 pm through November 13
at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd. in Cleveland's historic Tremont
neighborhood. Tickets $15 general admission, $12 students/seniors (65+).
