EPA's for City Theatre Company's 2010-11 Season will be held in
Cleveland on Monday, November 15th by appointment only. Seeking
submissions from Actors' Equity Members only for these particular
auditions.

MARCUS; OR THE SECRET OF SWEET

1st rehearsal: December 30, 2010. Runs: January 22 - February 13, 2011

Seeking:

 

NOTE: All roles are African-American.

Marcus: Male, 18+ to play late teens, innocent, attractive, adventurous
and quick witted, should be able to move well.

Osha: Female, 18+ to play late teens, a natural beauty who has nice
splash of the ghetto in her, tries to act grown but is still actually a
little girl at heart, should be able to move well.

Ogun: Male, late 30s-early 50s, a man who has years of hard work on his
face and body, hardened by the emotional loss of both his brother and
the love of his life years ago, haunted, gentle with a lot of pent up
virility.

Shun/Oba/Aunt Elegua: Female 30s-40s, actress should be young looking
but with the emotional weight of a Matriarch, needs to be both a
physical comic and a dramatically solid actress.

Oshoosi/Terrel/Shua: Male, late 20s-30s, extremely sexy, funny, smooth
with a flash of violence in his eyes, a bad boy from the wrong side of
the tracks.

 

PRECIOUS LITTLE

A: Female, 60's plays The Ape, Dorothy, Cleva, and The Baby. Actress
plays all characters including Cleva, the elderly speaker of an almost
extinct Russian dialect.

 

B: Female, 40's plays Brodie, a successful professional linguist,
pregnant, at the height of her career.

 

C: Female, 20's plays The Zoo Goers, Rhiannon, Evelyn, Dre, and Gloria.
Actress plays all characters including Dre, a young graduate student and
the girlfriend of Brodie, and Evelyn, the daughter of Cleva.

Jerzy Chimulski: Male, 30's-50's, Polish immigrant and anarchist

 

Vic Zimmer: Male, 30's-50's, FBI agent, powerful, All-American

 

Max Weitzenhoffer: Male, 30's-60's, a snappy Hollywood agent of the
