The Baldwin-Wallace College Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Moon
Over Buffalo” by Ken Ludwig, a comedy farce from the writer of “Lend Me A
Tenor” on November 10-13 & 17-20 at 7:30 p.m. and November 14 & 21 at 2:00
p.m. at the Kleist Center for Art and Drama.

“Moon Over Buffalo” starred Carol Burnett on Broadway, and closes the fall
season at the college. The hilarious and popular comedy by Ken Ludwig will
be directed by Dr. Jack B. Winget. Dr. Winget has enlisted the help of
William Reith, a Fencing Master, to teach the entire cast the fine art of
fencing. Reith has taught fencing in the Cleveland area for the last 38
years, producing three Olympians, and numerous members of US World, World
Junior/Cadet, and World University Games Teams. His experience as a fight
choreographer will be invaluable in this production of “Moon Over Buffalo”.

In the madcap comedy tradition of *Lend me a Tenor*, the hilarious *Moon
Over Buffalo* centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the
1950's. At the moment, they’re playing *Private Lives* and *Cyrano De
Bergerac* in rep in Buffalo, New York with 5 actors. On the brink of a
disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they
receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank
Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees,
he might cast them in his movie remake of *The Scarlet Pimpernel.*
Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does
go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and
hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused
by Charlotte’s deaf old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in
George’s body.

Kliest Center for Art and Drama is located at 95 East Bagley Road, Berea,
