'Broadway Radio Hour of 1951' Broadcasts Musical Hits at LCCC's Stocker
Arts Center
Be transported back to a golden era of musicals with "The Broadway Hour
of 1951" at Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts Center.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 19 and Saturday,
November 20.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and can be
ordered online at www.lorainccc.edu/stocker, or by calling the Stocker
Arts Center box office at 800-995-5222 (ext. 4040) from 12-6 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available at the box office,
located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts Center. This show is a Stocker
Studio Theatre Cabaret and will be performed in the intimate setting of
the Studio Theatre. Only 150 tickets are available for each performance,
so early ticket purchase is encouraged.
This fun live show simulates a live radio broadcast where the hits from
musicals performed on Broadway from 1941 to 1951 are being showcased.
Mark Flanders will act as the radio host with Joan Ellison as the guest
star, and the show also includes pianist Jason Aquila. "The Broadway
Radio Hour of 1951" features songs from "South Pacific," "Guys and
Dolls," "The King and I," "Brigadoon," "Carousel," "Kiss Me Kate,"
"Annie Get Your Gun," and many more.
