What the reviewers said...

"Dobama Theatre's 'Dead Man's Cell Phone' a sturdy flight of fancy"
"And, as the play unfolds, so does she (Jean-Tracee Patterson). That's what
makes this caboodle worth yahooing about."
Tony Brown, The Plain Dealer

"'Dead Man's Cell Phone' rings loud and clear"
"Dobama's outstanding production, helmed by director Scott Miller and
featuring some of Cleveland's finest actors, finds the offbeat kookiness and
absurdity that is the heart of Ruhl's unique vision and brings it to
throbbing life."
Fran Heller, Cleveland Jewish News

"'Dead Man's Cell Phone' offers theatrical wake-up call"
"His (director Scott Miller) creative vision is enacted by a top-tier cast
that completely buys into this play's rules of engagement and the
characters' quirks; the actors claim them as their own. Tracee Patterson is
magnificent as Jean."
Bob Abelman, News-Herald

"'Dead Man's Cell Phone' wonderful, clever production really cooks at Dobama
Theatre in Cleveland Heights"
"Director Scott Miller tamed a beast and made it roar, with a strong and
capable ensemble. Set and properties designer Mark Jenks's incredible
design is refreshingly expansive. The play is imaginative, funny and
wonderful, with some nice surprises, and is not to be missed."
Marjorie Preston, Sun News

Directed by Scott Miller

An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet cafe. A stranger at the next
table who has had enough. And a dead man-with a lot of loose ends. So
begins DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE, a wildly imaginative new comedy by MacArthur
"Genius" Grant recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Sarah Ruhl, author of
THE CLEAN HOUSE and EURYDICE. A work about how we memorialize the dead-and
how that remembering changes us. It is the odyssey of a woman forced to
confront her own assumptions about morality, redemption, and the need to
connect in a technologically obsessed world.

Please note: Seating capacity has been reduced by 50 seats for this
production.
