in 2010. Adam has also performed many sacred music concerts in churches in
Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Minnesota.

Adam has a few openings for new guitar students in the Akron/Canton areas.
All levels of students from beginner to professional are welcome.

****************************************************************************

Adam Cord, an Akron native and resident, is a 2010 graduate of University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the only college in the world that offers bachelor and
master's degrees in which students may specialize in American Finger-style
guitar. In addition to thousands of hours of practicing and performing, Adam
has also been formally trained in pedagogy and transcription of American
finger-style music.

Now that he has relocated back to Akron, OH, Adam is teaching and performing
all over. He is a guitar instructor at Malone University, a private college
in Canton, OH and has many private students besides. When he is not
teaching, he is usually working on guitar transcriptions or performing solo
guitar concerts at coffee shops, churches, and anywhere else that someone
needs good guitar music. In addition to his own compositions and
arrangements, Adam's performances include the music of many of the great
fingerstyle guitarists in history such as Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Pierre
Bensusan, Leo Kottke, Phil Keaggy (with whom Adam has performed onstage),
Michael Hedges, Alex DeGrassi, Billy McLaughlin, Pete Huttlinger, and many
other favorites.

Adam has released three instrumental guitar CDs, all available on CDBaby.com
in CD or MP3 format. A few video clips of Adam playing guitar are posted on
YouTube.com via his website http://adamcord.com.
