Cleveland Public Theatre seeks Marketing Director.

CPT produces ground-breaking performances and life-changing educational programs to raise consciousness and nurture compassion.

CPT seeks to hire a Marketing Director ready to join its team with the ambitious goal of growing the organization and changing the community. CPT's season typically includes the production of 8-12 plays and four performance series in three theatres: the 100 seat James Levin Theatre, the 200 seat Gordon Square Theatre, and the 50 seat Storefront Studio. The season opens with a major benefit event in September and then runs through June.

Summary of Position: This position is a year round, salaried, staff position. Salary range is $28,000-33,000 based on experience and capacity.  The Marketing Director is responsible for all aspects of marketing and public relations

The Marketing Director has the following responsibilities:


 *   Develops and implements CPT's marketing strategy and calendar
 *   Develops and implements marketing budget
 *   Oversees and implements CPT's Special Agents program, a program designed to increase new patrons
 *   Works with Executive Artistic Director to develop copy and identity for each production.
 *   Draft press releases and manage relations with the media.
 *   Works with CPT's in-house designer to create 9-12 major print pieces and other marketing materials
 *   Maintains website
 *   Manages and co-manages public events, such as opening night parties.
 *   Works with Executive Artistic Director to strategically develop the marketing department

Ideal candidate will have proven track record of success in marketing, sales, and/or public relations efforts for a small to midsize non-profit arts organization, and have direct experience in the following areas: media relations, print and broadcast advertising, graphic design, e-marketing, print and online publishing, direct mail, budgeting, and market research.

Candidates should be highly organized, deadline-oriented, computer-savvy, collaborative, and fun.
