Karamu House returns it holiday favorite Black Nativity written by Karamu
Alumnae, Langston Hughes to the Jelliffe Theatre December 9th through

December 30, 2010.   Black Nativity chronicles the story of Jesus Christ's

birth and is set to rousing gospel music, contains vibrant choreography,
brilliant costumes and Langston Hughes' majestic poetry.  Director Richard
H. Morris, Jr., Musical Director, Glenn Brackens and Choreographer, Kevin
Marr have blended the talents of some of Cleveland's finest gospel singers

and performers to bring the nativity story to life.    The combination of

seasoned vocalist, talented new soloist and experienced dancers in Black
Nativity makes this holiday season productions a must see for The Greater
Cleveland Community.

 

 

Preview night for Black Nativity is Thursday, December 9th at 7:30 pm.   The

2010 edition of  Black Nativity performance times are Wednesday thru
Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm.  Note that this year there will
also be a matinee performance on Saturday, December 18 at 3:00 pm and on
Sunday, December 19th  a 7:30 pm performance in addition to the regular
scheduled performances. Ticket prices are  $25  on Wednesday, Thursday and

matinees on Saturday and Sunday.   Student, Senior

 

and Group discounts are available.  Please consult our website for more
