Who says life's not all cakes and wine?
 
On Saturday, December 4th, the Learned Owl Book Shop hosts chef & author Bev Shaffer (of Mustard Seed Market fame) with her newest cookbook, "Cakes to Die For," a perfect inspiration for holiday baking. We'll also have Bev's previous offerings, "Cookies to Die For" and "Brownies to Die For," just in time for all those cookie exchanges! She'll be here at the bookshop (204 N. Main St, Hudson) from 1 - 3 p.m.
 
Sunday, December 5th, Patricia Latimer brings her newly updated book, "Ohio Wine Excursions" to the Owl, and we'll have sips of samples from local winery, Sarah's Vineyard. Meet the author from 1 - 3 p.m. The 5th is an especially fun day to visit Hudson, since it's our downtown Holiday Walk, featuring the Western Reserve Community Band, a live nativity on the green, and horse drawn carriage rides. At three, all singers on hand are invited to join in the caroling on the clock tower green.
