AUDITIONS for 2 Musicals !!! 
Pippi Longstocking –Return to the Island & Snow Queen 
AUDITIONS now through December 13th
 
Auditions:  November 28th - December 13th 
  
Callbacks: December 14th - 19th 
 
Auditions are open children  and teens ages 8-17.  Elementary, Middle and High school students are encouraged to apply. Ability to act and sing a must.  
 
When and where are the Auditions?  I am auditioning now till December 13th, Call backs December 14th- December 19th.  If you may have a picture and/or resume please e/m them to me. 
 
What age range are you looking for? 9-17 
 
What do the kids need for the audition?  Please prepare 1 min monologue and a song. 
 
What are the rehearsal schedules like and show performance dates? 
Rehearsals are normally once a week. Normally on Saturdays or Sundays. For this performance will be on Sundays. Time will be determined once the conflict schedules are in. Rehearsals will start on January 14th, 2010, time TBD 
 
Performance; June 12th @ The Cleveland Play House

 Pippi Longstocking –Return to the Island 
Synopsis: Join Pippi Longstocking and her new adventures as she returns back to the island 2 years later. 
Pippi  Longstocking –a child of incredible strength. Must have a strong singing voice. Ages 12-13 y   
  
Annika - Pippi's best friend. Must have a good singing voice. Ages 10-13y 
  
Tommy- Pippi's best friend. Annika's brother. Ages 9-12y 
  
Jessica-friend of Pippi. Must have a good singing voice.  Ages 9-13y 
  
Megan- friend of Pippi. Must have a good singing voice ages. Ages 9-13 y 
  
Mother of Annika and Tommy- Ages 15-17y 
  
2 Robbers- Ages 14-17y
  
Teacher - Must have a good singing voice. Ages 14-17y
 
Ensemble- must be able to dance and sing. Ages 9-15y
 
  
Snow Queen- The New Version
Adaptation of H. C. Andersen story The Snow Queen 
Synopsis: The story of a young girl named Gerda who is forced to battle the evil snow queen in order to save the soul of her brother Kay. 
Story Teller – tells a story of a Snow Queen. Must have good pronunciation and projection. Ages 10-13.  
  
Kay- Gerda’s brother who falls victim to the ice splinters. Ages 9-12y 
Gerda-  Kay’s Sister, determined to save Kay from the Snow Queen- Ages 11-14y 
  
Snow Queen-  queen of the snowflakes or "snow bees", who travels throughout the world with the snow.  Must have a strong personality. Ages 13-16y 
 
Dancing Snow Flakes- must have previous dancing or ballet experience. Ages 9-14y
  
Robber Maiden- tomboy,  captures and takes Gerda as her playmate. Ages 9-14y   
  
Woman with a Comb-wicket woman that has powers. Ages 13-17y 
  
Cat- must be able to portray a cat’s character and be able to walk and talk like that. Ages 9-12 y
  
Rain Deer- Ages 9-14y 
  
Roses- fragrant flowers that are frozen by the Snow Queen. Ages 9-12y 
 
Princess- graceful and kind. She helps Gerda in her search for her brother Kay. Ages 10-14y 
 
Ensemble- must be able to dance and sing. Ages 9-15
  
  
Auditions:  November 28th - December 14th     ( please note new dates) 
  
Callbacks: December 15th - 19th
