Brecksville Theater On The Square will open its 37th season with A Nightmare of Crime: A Holocaust Story, running February 25th-27th and March 4th-6th, 2011.

This original production, conceptualized, written and directed by Baldwin-Wallace College drama professor Dr. Jack B. Winget, is a multi-media docudrama based on Sonderkommando, Jewish prisoners who were forced to aid in the extermination of their comrades-sometimes their own families-and then were themselves sent to the gas chambers. The story is told to help ensure that such horrors are not repeated.

Open auditions will begin Sunday, January 16th from 6-10pm at Kleist Hall, Room 128 (located off the lobby) on the campus of Baldwin-Wallace College.
Open auditions will also be held at BTOTS' Blossom Hill facility Monday, January 17th from 6-10pm.
Auditions will be cold readings, no memorized monologues, and scripts will be provided.
The cast will be posted Tuesday, January 18th.

Rehearsals will begin January 19th, 2011, and run Sunday through Wednesday from 6:30-9:00pm at the BTOTS' Blossom Hill facilities.
All performances will be held at the historic Old Town Hall Theater on Public Square in Brecksville.
