[NEohioPAL] Casting, Child-Role: Casting for Short Film

For the upcoming short film: UNDER OVERPASSES 
 
Is having ideal freedom worth the price?
Four teens living on the street take a recent runaway
under their wings. The days to follow lead to reminders
of their forgotten pasts, and an inescapable fate.
 
There will be open auditions for CHILDREN for a short film being produced by The 2380 Project*, through the University of Akron, and directed by Ben Sliwa. 
 
***  Both roles being casted for are unpaid and have no speaking roles.  The short film is a fictitious movie about a group of young adults whom experience the life of living on the streets. Their reality is depicted as our  reality seems. The parts being casted for children are symbolic to the progression of the story, as the young adults depict. Young Phox (Roger) is the young version of the lead character, and Little Charley represents the innocence that all children have toward the troubles in the world. ***
 
Young Phox (Roger): representing the lead character's childhood self. And the reasoning for his running away. (Needs facial emotions that can show sorrow, and abandonment. Visual: brown hair) 
 
Little Charley: Representing the innocence of all children in the aspect that they are naive to hardships of adult life, and poverty... Almost a 'factious' character . (Simple expression required.)

The shooting schedule will be flexible in order to fit well with work schedules for both the cast and crew.  All scheduled filming and changes to them will be announced in plenty of time for everyone to make the necessary arrangements or, preferably, to be set for dates that are open to everyone involved.

*The 2380 Project is a student run organization, through the University of Akron. Currently in its 9th year of operation, the project has successfully produced 7 feature length films, that have been featured at an annual Film Festival. We are advised by a full time communications professor names Dr. Richard Caplan. The 2380 Project meets weekly in the University's Kolb e Hall, room 111.
