Karamu House kicks off 2011 with the Youth production of Willie Wonka,
Junior  

 

CLEVELAND, Ohio (January 8, 2011) --- Karamu House, Inc's Performing Arts
Theatre commences the second half of its 87th  theatrical season named "The
Season of Joy and Perseverance." 

 

2011 kicks off with Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy
man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.  The cast of thirty eight youthful
thespians will deliversongs from the classic family film, "Willie Wonka and
the Chocolate Factory." Words and music by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley,
Adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse & Timothy A. McDonald, Based on the
book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.  

January 15 to February 6, 2011 in Karamu's Jelliffe Theatre.  

 

Willie Wonka Junior will be performed at Karamu House located at 2355 East
89th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 - Saturday and Sundays at 1:00 pm.

Special School Performances will be held on Wednesday, January 19 & 26 at
1:00 pm.

program and delivers performing arts workshops throughout the Cleveland
