[NEohioPAL] Akron Symphony meet the composer/open rehearsal

Maestro Christopher Wilkins and the Akron Symphony Orchestra welcome Grammy winners eighth blackbird for the Ohio premiere of On a Wire by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon on Saturday, January 15 at The University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall at 8 PM. Also hear Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite and works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Michael Gandolfi, and Stella Sung.  
Experience a concert in the making… 
Maestro Wilkins is throwing back the curtain on this special concert with a preview and open rehearsal on Friday, January 14 at E.J. Thomas Hall.
The evening begins at 8 PM with an informal discussion between the members of eighth blackbird, Jennifer Higdon, and Maestro Wilkins followed by a rehearsal of On a Wire with commentary by the performers and composer.
