*Thursday, February 17, 2011; 7p.m.: Find out about the Underground Railroad in Ohio when Bette Lou Higgins presents NEXT STOP, FREEDOM! at the Renaissance Retirement Community; 26376 John Rd.; Olmsted Township. This program of stories about the courageous actions of the runaways and conductors along Ohio's Underground Railroad is FREE and open to the public. *Wednesday, February 23, 2011; 12:30 p.m.: Bette Lou Higgins will present BEST SONGS I NEVER SANG (A STORYTELLER'S CONCERT) at the Elyria Women's Club at 218 East Ave. in Elyria..   Tickets for the show and the lunch are $8.00 and reservations must be made by Monday noon before the program. The program is open to the public at no charge. For complete information and to make your arrangements for lunch, contact the women's club at 440-322-0524. Membership dues are $60/year. *Sunday, February 27, 2011, 3p.m: Hear the songs and stories of the Great Depression when Foster Brown and Bette Lou Higgins present FROM A CRASH TO A BANG at the North Ridgeville Library; 35700 Bainbridge Rd; North Ridgeville Ohio. This program is FREE and open to the public. For more information call the library at (440) 327-4371.
