The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is honored to produce the Ohio and regional
premier of this offbeat comedy. Set in the star dressing room of the Belasco
Theater circa 1970, Scenery focuses on a pair of successful New York actors,
played by acclaimed theater icons Anne McEvoy and Robert Hawkes. The pair is
facing both the decline of their craft’s popularity and the evolution of their
relationship as they prepare for and execute the opening night of a play neither
has the heart for.

This theatrical romp lets us laugh at some not so long ago lifestyles and
encourages us to examine our definitions of art, marriage, and partnership. The
play is driven by mature themes and is lightly peppered with adult humor and
strong language. Parental discretion is advised.
