The Cassidy Theatre will hold its second night of auditions *this coming
Sunday *for its upcoming production of Blood Brothers, directed by Cassidy
veteran Trinidad Snider, musical direction by Jordan Cooper.


Blood Brothers

April 8th-23rd
Two twin brothers separated at birth; one is raised in poverty while the
other is raised in a well-off home. Unaware that they are brothers, the two
grow up as best friends, as blood brothers. But in this dark British
musical, will their friendship be sustainable as social divisions try to
tear them apart?

AUDITION DATES
*Sunday, February 6th: 2pm-5pm*
Callbacks:  *Thursday, February 10th 7p -10p*

If you cannot make the audition dates or times and would still like to be
seen for the production, please contact the theatre to see about arranging
an alternate time.

AUDITION PREPARATION:
Actors should be prepared with a dramatic monologue and a musical selection
similar to the style of Blood Brothers. Bring sheet music in the correct
key, 16 bars is sufficient, but actors may be asked to sing more; an
accompanist will be provided. Headshots and resumes will be accepted at the
audition.

CASTING REQUIREMENTS:
Non - Equity. There are no Equity Contracts available. Cassidy is committed
to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of
talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability is essential to
a role. All roles are open.

SEEKING:
Mrs. Johnstone: Working-class mother of seven children, who is left by her
husband; she is forced to make a heart-wrenching decision regarding her twin
boys

Mickey: One of the twins, who is raised in poverty by his biological mother;
he falls in love with his childhood best friend, Linda.

Eddie: The other twin, who is raised by a wealthy family unaware that they
are not his biological relations.

Narrator: mysterious story-teller

Mrs. Lyons: the adoptive mother of Eddie; Mrs. Johnstone's employer who
cannot have her own children

Linda: Mickey's childhood best friend

Sammy: another son of Mrs. Johnstone

Mr. Lyons: Eddie's adoptive father

A small ensemble will be featured as well.
