*SPRING CLASS SESSIONS*

*Acting Up Teen Class*
*March 22-May 12 4-6 pm
will begin at the Art Center on 106 Water St, Chardon, Oh 44024
class meets March 22, 29;April 5, no class on April12, April 19,26,
May 3, 10 and 12
**Performance on May 12 7pm
Instructor:Angela Miloro
Ages: 12-18
cost $75*

A class for all skill levels--learn the basics of performance and working
together to build a show.
Students will also learn about the audition and rehearsal process.The class
will rehearse and perform a play (to be named later) at a final class
performance.Performance will be open to friends and family,
free of charge.

Class will begin at The Arts Center 106 Water St, and later move to the
theater
Prerequisite: student must have completed three acting classes or
have permission of instructor.
This will be an acting intense class with an audition workshop, and
monologues
and scene work in addition to show chosen and performed.

*Introduction to Digital SLR Photography
SESSION 1
Saturday 9AM-12PM April 2
Instructor: Rick DeVan
Cost: $30
Ages:14 and up*

Students need their own digital SLR camera with adjustable settings (M, B,
Auto, etc.) and interchangeable lenses. (Only one lens is required for
class.)
Learn the basics of digital photography and how to fully use your camera's
capabilities in the classroom and with hands-on photography on Chardon
Square.
Half of the class will be instruction and information , and the second half
will be a field trip to photograph Chardon square.

*Colored Pencil Drawing Class*
*Instructor: Sandy D'Amico
Cost:$75
Ages: teen-adult
Wednesdays April 6-May 18 (There will be continuing 6 weeks sessions
through the summer7-9pm*

Students of all skill levels welcome. Technique, history, composition as
well as basic drawing skills will be covered.
Learn to add imagination to your drawings!
Teacher provides pencil sharpener, extra paper and pencils, books and
magazines.
Students bring their own materials (colored pencils, paper) and reference
photos for drawings.

GLTG Summer Youth Workshops

New!  A theater experience for our youngest stars involving singing, dance
and music-making.  This course will help children explore their artistic
side and gain confidence in a fun and relaxed setting.

(M and W at the Arts Center and F at the theater)
 FREE Performance Dates: July 1 and 2 during class time at the theater

(July 11, 13, 18, 20 at the Arts Center.
All other classes at the theater)
FREE Performance Dates: July 29 and 30 during class time at the theater

  *Fun!  Students are given more opportunity to grow and increase
confidence.  Instruction presented in a manner appropriate for younger
teens.  Theater knowledge is expanded and many artistic elements are added
to enhance learning.

June 6 M-Th 6-9 pm (six weeks)
Performance dates: July 14, 15 7:30 pm July 16 2:00pm

*Challenge**!  For those who are looking for a workshop that builds upon the
skills they already possess.  All elements of theater will be instructed and
students will be given a wider range of opportunities. Students will have
the opportunity to direct a scene, choreograph a number and design a set.

June 18 M-Th 6-9 pm (seven weeks *there will be a week break scheduled
during CHS Band Camp Week – last week in July)
All classes will be held at the Arts Center until late July.  Schedule will
be given.
Performance dates: August 11, 12 at 7:30 pm August 13 2:00 pm

ages 14 to 18
Cost: $300

*Registration opens April 12 at 8:30 - until full, and is on a
first come, first serve basis.*

Applications will be available online or at the business office and may be
brought in person, or mailed.
In-person applications will be accepted first with mailed-in registration
being considered one week after registration opens.

There is a multi-family discount available.  First child is full-price, each
additional child receives a discount of $25. (The Junior Workshop is exempt
from discounted fee)

Cost also includes show t-shirt and two complimentary tickets to a
performance.
All workshops will take place at the Geauga Lyric Theater (101 Water Street)
unless stated differently above.  The Arts Center is located diagonally
across from the Theater at 106 Water St Chardon, Oh 44024.


*Intern Applications will be accepted the week of  April 18 – May 2
 Interviews will be on May 7

Employee/Volunteer assignments will be given on May 14
Paid positions will receive $250 for the six week session,
and will be required to also work performances.

Applications will be available online or from the business office.

*Scholarship applications and information will also be available March 15
and must be returned by March 31 for consideration.  Scholarships will be
awarded by April 8.    Limited funds are available.
