The Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre Arts at John Carroll
University is pleased to present the spring theatre production: Medea, by
Euripides, directed by Dr. Karen Gygli, Associate Professor of Theatre and
chair of the department. For centuries, this Greek tragedy about a mother
spurned has brought audiences to their knees in a catharsis of terror and
pity--be one of them! After both the Saturday matinee on March 26 and the
Saturday evening performance on April 2, a post-show talk and discussion
will be lead by Dr. Gwen Compton-Engle, Associate Professor in the
Department of Classical and Modern Languages at JCU. ONLY FIVE
PERFORMANCES!! SEATING IS LIMITED, so reservations in advance are strongly
suggested. Medea runs in Marinello Little Theatre in the Lombardo Student
Center of John Carroll University March 25, April 1 and April 2 at 7:30PM,
and March 26 and April 3 at 2PM. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the
door. Parking is available in the adjacent Belvoir parking lot, and the
theatre is easily accessible to all. Reservations can be made by calling
216-379-4428 after Monday, March 21. For more information, please call
Karen Gygli at 216-397-4191 or email her at kgygli at jcu.edu.
