Wrap up WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH with the delightful 1942 comedy"Woman of the
Year," 
starring Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn, 
and visit the KSU Museum's original exhibit 
"Katharine Hepburn: Dressed for Stage and Screen." 
 
WHEN:  Thursday, March 31, at 3 pm and 6 pm. The 6 pm screening will also
include a post-film discussion presented in cooperation with the Kent State
University Women's Studies Program, now offering a special course on

WHERE:  Murphy Auditorium at Kent State University Museum (on the museum's
second floor), Rockwell Hall, 515 Hilltop Drive (corner of E. Main and S.
Lincoln Streets) 
 
COST:  Free with admission to the museum. 
 
DETAILS:  Opposites "distract" when a sophisticated political columnist
falls for a down-to-earth sportswriter in Woman of the Year (1942, directed
by George Stevens), the first film co-starring Spencer Tracy and Katharine
Hepburn, still regarded as classic Hollywood's most famous screen couple.
The movie, which won an Oscar for Original Screenplay, is listed by the
American Film Institute among America's top 100 love stories and top 100
comedies.  For her performance as the successful, accomplished columnist
Tess Harding, Hepburn earned her fourth Best Actress Oscar nomination and
established herself as a major role model for American professional women.
