[NEohioPAL] Casting Call for CSU Thesis Film

Attention all NEohioPAL subscribers:

I'm Seth Kopchu, a film student at Cleveland State University. This month, I
will be shooting my senior thesis film for school. Currently, I'm looking
for an actor and an actress to take on the lead roles in my film.


Here is the information about the movie:

Title: “The Android Rapist”

Logline: Fed up with being single and depressed, Esteban Clay decides to
force a woman to engage in certain acts with him against her will... but
when that woman is a robotic android, is Esteban guilty of any crimes?


 This short film will be shot over a 3 (possibly 4) day period on April 15th,
16th and 17th, with a possible early start on April 14h if need be. It will
be shot in Cleveland as well as in the surrounding suburbs.


 *Roles*:

*Esteban Clay* – (Mid to late 20's to Mid 30s) The main character of the
film, Esteban is a single and depressed man whose warped mind leads him to
stealing a robotic android to fulfill his seductive fantasies.


 *Chelsea* – (Early to mid 20's) The android. Chelsea is human-like in every
way possible, but with one design flaw: she's not human enough to be aware
of the twisted situation that she's been dragged into.


 *BEFORE RESPONDING TO THIS CALL, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:*

*Despite its title, this movie is not a comedy in any way whatsoever – it's
a serious dramatic short film. And while there is no nudity or sex in this
film, there is a simulated sex scene (that is, we just see the shadows of
the characters engaged in the act, and nothing else). There is also a scene
where Esteban quickly kisses Chelsea and fondles her breasts over her
clothes, and lifts up her skirt. However, when he lifts it up, pending on
which scene we decide to use, he either sees a plastic flesh-covered
encasing over her midsection, or white bicycle shorts that he starts to pull
down. The film cuts away as soon as he does this, and Chelsea's exposed body
is never seen.*


 *Casting call*:

WHEN: Monday, April 4th and Tuesday, April 5th, from 5-9 PM

WHERE: Cleveland State University Library, 3rd floor in Multimedia Services,
Room 304 (RT 304)

*Lastly, and this is the most important thing for you to know, this is a
student film. This means that, unfortunately, acting is completely on a
volunteer basis and there will be no compensation for the rolls filled.
However, actors will be given a DVD copy of the film upon its completion,
and will be provided with free food and drink on set.*
