Receiving *RAVE* Reviews for both it's *NEW YORK* and *LOS ANGELES*
productions, Rajiv Joseph's *"Huck & Holden" *tells the story of Navin, an
Indian college student who's trying to remain focused on his studies while
the temptations of America and college life start beating down his door. When
Navin falls for Michelle, a young African American student, he finds that
his perceptions of the world begin to expand --and crumble.

Called "...a coming of age story with comedy, pathos, and a distinct
emotional core*"(offline.com). "Huck & Holden"* is a romantic comedy that
wrestles with cultural stereotypes, racism, The Kama Sutra, The Catcher in
the Rye, and how loosing our innocence doesn't always make us wiser.

Joseph's first play, “*Huck & Holden*”, debuted at the Cherry Lane Theatre
in 2005. The play also had a West Coast run at the Black Dahlia Theater in
Los Angeles the following year. Joseph was a Pulitzer finalist for his
production of “*Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo”*, directed by Moisés
Kaufman, which debuted at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City,
California in May 2009. It ran at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles April
14 - May 30, 2010. “*Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo”* premiered on
Broadway in March, with Robin Williams playing the title role.

*Rajiv will “Come Home” to Cleveland and give talk backs after each
performance the weekend of May 20th.** *

***(5/20, 5/21, 5/22).** *

*
*

***He will also teach a Master Class which **will be open to the public whom
have purchased tickets to ANY of the performances**.** **This will take
place on Saturday May 21**st** at 3pm in the Studio One Theatre. Please
call or email the theatre to register for this class. (Maximum registration
is 100). Please contact the theatre for details and information on these,
and additional surrounding events.** *

*Former candidate for Ohio Attorney General and Director of Law for the City
of Cleveland, Subodh Chandra*,

will discuss some of the more serious issues raised in the play after the
matinee performance on Sunday, May 8th.

Please call 216-321-2930 or email us at info at ensemble-theatre.org for more
details.

*“I’m very honored that we are the theatre company that will produce Rajiv’s
Cleveland Premiere,”** said Celeste Cosentino, Artistic Director of

Ensemble Theatre. **“I’m proud that we have the opportunity to showcase his
work here in our hometown. Having just produced a Charles Smith play as
well, I believe that these particular playwrights are UNIQUELY TALENTED and
their voices should be heard by Cleveland Audiences.” *

* *

*****PLEASE NOTE:** “HUCK AND HOLDEN” contains ADULT LANGUAGE and THEMES and
