[NEohioPAL] A plea for help to all fellow musicians

This year the Parma Senior High Drama club fell under the direction of a careless and irresponsible man who was finally asked to resign because of his incompetence and lack of professionalism.  He had chosen for the students to do West Side Story but neglected to get scores/scripts in a timely fashion, canceled numerous rehearsals, had not found pit members, and in general, was exceedingly unprepared.  The drama students, since SO many things have been taken away from Parma kids due to the levy failures, have clung on to the desire to do the show so a few Parma faculty members stepped up to assist and direct, but with only 5 weeks of preparation possible.  The message is a plea to your heart for they are in severe need of trained musicians for the pit.  If you have played the score in the past, especially trumpet, cello, and violin, and would be willing to step into the show, that is May 13th and 14th, please contact Gia Dean at Parma Senior High - 440-885-2300.  You will be compensated but it may not be your standard fee.  These poor kids have been through so much, please, if you have that weekend open and would be willing to help, no group of students would be more appreciative.
