*Special Fundraiser Event: “A Night of Andrew Lloyd Webber”*

*May 13th &14th, 2011*

Cassidy is presenting *A Night of Andrew Lloyd Webber, *a
limited-performance special filled with Webber’s beloved music. Directed by
Kim Mihalik, this event features songs from ten extraordinary shows,
including *Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar*, and *Cats.*

Performances Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 14th at 8pm. Tickets are $10
each, and they are on sale now! For tickets or more information, call the

*“Oliver!”*

*June 3rd – 19th, 2011 *

Music, Lyrics & Book by Lionel Bart

Directed by Heidi JW Boone

Musically Directed by David Detloff

Charles Dickens’ classic tale of “Oliver Twist” will inspire audiences with
this musical adaptation. Follow the orphan Oliver through 19th century
England as life takes him from the workhouse to the nest of a band of
pick-pockets to the lap of luxury with plenty of lessons learned along the
way.

Performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are
$20 for adults and $15 for students/senior citizens. For tickets or more

*SUMMER CLASSES AT THE CASSIDY THEATRE*
**Registration is being accepted for Cassidy's intensive Summer session of
Youth Theatre classes, but they are filling up fast! Don’t let your little
star miss out on their chance to shine this summer! Do you have a little
star at home just bursting with radiance and energy? Let the Cassidy Theatre
youth program teach them how to twinkle! Call the office at (440) 842-4600

*StarDust!*

4-6 year olds

Mondays & Wednesdays 1:00pm-2:00pm; Classes begin June 13th

Here is a fun way for the youngest ones to get their start in theatre! This
non-stressful approach to basic acting will teach your star how to twinkle!
This class will work on imagination, memorization and working together. The
ability to read is not necessary. This class is a great way to get your
little one started building confidence while having fun! (There will be no
class on July 4th.) Taught by Sarah Lynne Nicholas. 4-week session for $50

*StarLight! “Mini” Camp*

7-12 year olds

Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:00pm-3:00pm; Classes begin July 12th

Can’t commit to the whole summer? Busy with other camps and activities? Not
interested in a full singing and dancing theatre experience? This NEW summer
class is for you! Taught by veteran teachers Diana Kullgren and Amy Banner,
this class focuses on basic theatre knowledge and acting skills, with small
group music/singing instruction for those interested students. This class
will feature fun improvisation games and small scenework, with flexibility
for both beginner and advanced actors. It will feature a short performance
on Saturday, July 30th for family and friends. Basic reading skills are a
requirement. Come join in the fun if you need just a little bit of theatre
to liven up your summer! 3-week session for $125

*StarBright! *

7-12 year olds

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00am-12:00pm; Classes begin June 28th

StarBright! allows students to focus on acting, singing, and dancing in a
musical theatre setting. Students rotate through classes by age groups.
During the seven weeks, they prepare for a final performance to showcase
what they have learned through scenes and musical numbers. This program is
designed to benefit children of all ability and experience levels. Students
will gain a basic knowledge of theatre as well as develop their reading
skills. A performance for family and friends will be presented Saturday,
August 13th at 10am. Instructors include Kate Michalski, director of this
past winter’s production of *Annie, * and past teacher and area performer
Andrew Parmelee. 7-week session for $240



*StarWorks*!

13-19 year olds

Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00am-12:00pm; Classes begin June 27th

StarWorks! is an active and exciting class for teens to study all aspects of
theatre. Students will learn about theatre history, developing a character,
building confidence, audition skills, music and dance. This class is a
well-rounded approach to all parts of theatre and what goes into making
theatre happen. Students will present a showcase at the end of the class
featuring what they have learned throughout the summer on August 13th at
1pm. Instructors include Kate Michalski and Jordan Cooper, area musical
director and accomplished musician. (There will be no class on July 4th.)

Greenbrier Commons.
