is holding AUDITIONS for this summer's production of

THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES

 

Who: College actors who want an all-encompassing theatre experience this
summer

What: Auditions for the CSU Little Vikings Children's Theatre - The
Emperor's New Clothes, directed by Aaron Benson

Where: The CSU Factory Theatre at 1833 E. 23rd Street, Cleveland, OH 44114
(entrance is on E. 24th)

When: Friday, May 13th, 4:00pm-8:00pm (by appointment only*)

 

*Please email Kate at theatre at csuohio.edu to set up an audition time. Spots
are limited and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Please prepare a 2-3 minute comedic monologue.

 

There will be a CALL BACK on Monday, May 16th from 12:00pm - 3:00pm.
Although not everyone may be called back, please make this time available in
case you are selected to return.

 

TECH: If you are interested in a technical position, please inquire with
Aaron Benson in the scenic studio at 216-687-2112.

 

Company members will be paid a stipend.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

*	If cast, you will not only be acting in the play, but helping to
build the set, hang the lights, build costumes, etc. We are developing a
creative company that is motivated to make this show come to life.
*	Rehearsals will begin Monday, June 6th. The proposed schedule is as
follows: Show hours from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, rehearsal times 4:00pm - 6:00pm,
Monday through Friday. Shop hours will be required. This schedule is subject
to change based on cast conflicts.
*	Tech Week will take place the week of July 5th. There will be no
rehearsal on July 4th
*	Performance dates run Wednesdays though Saturdays from July 13th
through July 30th. All performances are matinees, and Saturdays will have
both a matinee and an early evening performance. 
*	Strike will be on July 31st - all company members are required to be
at strike.
*	A typical show day will consist of the performance, a small
snack/break for the children, followed by a 30-45 minute long children's
theatre movement workshop. No workshops will be held after the Saturday
evening shows.
